watching just opponent really helped. Especially if you can even do in disadvantage as that is when stressed and more likely to tunnel vision
this also serves as way to level set myself
Finding quickplay i am way more focused as i tend to focus when not chatting but time to think and nto worried about what player thinks. should regiment discord matchmaking mroe
I am seeing that i get lot more when i can think of moves and percents in terms of trajectories, tumble state, etc (ie effects move have), instead of pure rote memorization. There arent many combos so need to way to “intuit” combos even there to see what more creative/fit for time possibilites there are (each and fast ways to think of, this I guess it what some what flow chart can feel like)
eg is there time short hop fair gives something more then ftilt at hire percents?
what trajectory to differnt point of dtilt/uptilt send (relative to map where will opponent land)
come up per move what gives on percent and stage so can put things together
have log of notes on specific players so can learn not just MUs but how to learn specific player habits when reface (this is how will win locals)
misinputs
accidently fmsash on shield when mean to daf smash
dtilt wrong way
Seph¶
in disadvantage many tended to land with dair (especiallly uptilt)
TODO:¶
Template for daily notes.
Daily Training Walk through (some trianing room, come up with some todos, and always things work on). Should have mix of:
better movement percision
creativity
vs Sehbai (Pokemon Trainer)¶
I got way nervous and opponet mistakes and over commitment let my auto pilot of
dash dancing (especially in empty space) against charizard almost lost game, as his side becomes almost unreactable
2nd half day sesh¶
jumping a lot out of disadvantage even when know shouldnt like mac ditoo dtilt side b
is reason dash attack instead of dtitl for non tech better? what can follow up with (eg momentum)
side B off ledge mindlessly, get caught a lot, that should be once in while
learn drop ledge side for low profile characters
neutral B on mac ditto when uptil is good mix up
what times run up neutral b nice? what characters?
how to follow up tech chase on neutral b hit (always feel like end lag is too long)
for two frame down smash
I do better when just time the smash attack instead of hold release
i am spacing too close, i get hit by mac up B for exaxmple a lot (this hits me out of it and may be hearting where first hitbox is and how long window)
challenge: try not to use side B unless know dtilt to side B confirm (i use to much as get off me tool and get away tool (on stage and off) and its end lag puts me in bad position)
learn how long can player hold smash attack, so can time counters if they end up holding too early
smash attack timed instead of held, this sign of premptive vs reactive. if doing read like up B off ledge, learn a position where can do slight movmetn or turnaround smash to hit
still misspacing forward smash ledge guarding (should just memorize movemnt needed, single dash from ledge is not good)
look at pros default ledge position when ledge guarding, i think im too close that makes harder to do options
need to learn some default mix ups for
landing (try experimenting with airdodge more, S drift)
tech (i always tech inplace a lot)
went against another high level rob and when on high perecent like 100%, waiting when get burried, acutally cause almost all their follow ups to miss (they are so used to be people mashing, and seems their follow ups to hit require opponent to jump out, if still in ground too low)
3rd day sesh¶
pivot cancel dash going through opponetn a lot, only getting one hit off (causing me to get reversaled), need to learn spacing, im doing too late
airdodge up has been nice mix up for horizotal projectile characters
grapplers, putting spaced tilts gets grabed lot, need to be more inentional as hurtbox shift
why did up tilt on pacman hydrant not hit me (when was throwing down)? strat?
can counter packman water on hydrant
